The above images (except the first two) of the Chapter 393 attendees were taken by our President, Harvard Holmes.  There were 30 attendees and 8 airplanes from Chapter 393.  There were other airplanes whose home base I did not acquire.   Harvard's tour pictures are below and Duane's are here.

Harvard wrote the following letter to our hosts for the day.
Dear Pat, Jeff, and Lori,

We members of EAA Chapter 393 want to say thank you to Pat Smith of EAA 204, Jeff Soares of S.O.P.A, and Lori Atkinson of Cal-Pacific Airmotive for a wonderful time last Saturday at the Salinas Airport. Everyone I spoke to commented that they enjoyed the coffee and pastries, the wonderful tour, and the great lunch.

The tour by Lori was most educational. Her facts and figures gave a concrete appreciation for the enormous amount of work that goes into rebuilding a P-51 "correctly." Her narration demonstrated great mastery of the many details that go into this work. Her explanation of the variations between the different models of the P-51 was most impressive. We could tell that Lori is indispensable to the operation of the company. She does everything!

The lunch that was hosted by EAA 204 and S.O.P.A. was wonderful. Pat, Sheridan and Jeff did a great job of organizing, preparing and cooking the delicious tri-tips lunch that you so generously provided for us.

We had almost 30 people from EAA 393, which is the largest turnout ever! It is hard to tell whether the P-51 tour or the tri-tips were the biggest draw. And, of course, the weather was fantastic as well -- how did you do that?

We would like to host your groups when a suitable event occurs at Concord. We will be keeping you in mind, and we hope that you will not be shy about coming to visit us when the occasion arises.

Sincerely,

Harvard Holmes

EAA Chapter 393 President
